Alexandria, in 391 AD. On the Neoplatonic school, both beautiful and wise philosopher Hypatia, daughter teaches mathematics and astrology. For her students the confident scientist is very popular, their male colleagues, but watching them with suspicion. Not only because she is a woman, but also because they represent very modern theories.

With a growing passion Hypatia devoted to the fundamental questions of the solar system -- and long before Copernicus and Gallieo! With their findings, however, they reap not only the respect and recognition, but draws the wrath of the increasingly powerful Christian up. As in the ancient Egyptian world city between pagan beliefs and Christianity comes to the war, Hypatia gets in the crossfire. After a series of brutal ritual murders succeed Sherlock Holmes and his steadfast partner Dr. John Watson at the last minute to rescue another victim and bring the killer: There is Lord Blackwood, who shows no remorse.
